Maybe you’ve heard about chiropractic care through a friend or did some research online. Maybe you’re just tired of living in pain. If going to the chiropractor is a new experience for you, don’t worry! We’re here to help you and get back on your feet.
What to expect on you first visit
Appointments at our office begin with a bit of paperwork, as you no doubt would expect. Dr. Putty will take a full history that will include information regarding your chief complaint, past medical history, family history and any other information that will help with an accurate diagnosis. You will then have an examine that will include your vitals, orthopedic and neurological exam depending on the chief complaint and palpation of the location of the chief complaint. You do not have to get undressed or put in a gown for this exam. If needed Dr. Putty will order any radiology workups, blood work or other tests that will help him determine an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
If you are being referred from another health care provider or have prior radiology workups within one year, including x-rays, MRI or CT scan, please bring in that information with you.
Please arrive approximately 15-20 before your appointment time for paper work. Typically first appointments last 45 minutes to one hour.
